1. Shea Butter Makes Your Skin Darker

Exposure to sunlight is what makes your skin tanned or darker! Shea Butter actually contains a naturally occurring SPF (ranging from factor 3-6) however, we ALWAYS recommend wearing SPF of 20 or above every.single.day. after applying your moisturiser. 

2. Shea Butter Clogs Pores and Causes Acne 

Shea Butter is non-comedogenic, which means it does not clog pores and it also contains antibacterial and anti-microbial properties, making it an excellent remedy for inflammatory acne. P.S: It is also known to reduce the appearance of acne scars!  

3. Shea Butter Is Only For Dry Skin 

It is suitable for ALL skin types, yep...even oily skin! Shea Butter actually can actually help to prevent the build-up of oil in the skin by balancing sebum production.

4. Shea Butter Leaves a Layer Of Grease on Your Skin

Wrong! Shea Butter has a rich texture that absorbs deep into your skin, locking in moisture. 

5. Shea Butter Can Only Be Used On Your Skin 

Did you know that in parts of Ghana Shea Butter is also used as a cooking oil? Shea Butter is also found in chocolate production. It can also be used as a conditioner or moisturiser for your hair and for minor cuts or burns.
